Basically what JayDee said (somewhere above or below here).
It a critique of the corporate mindset that offering a one-time bonus can motivate low-level employees to overcome challenges that actually stem from broader organizational issues and not a lack of effort from the employees.
Also, I’ve been really really really wanting to use the word “asshat” in a comic. 😉
