Dunking on Liberals from a leftist, anti-capitalist perspective.

Dems keep working with trump to approve his picks, but what they won't accept is that if you sit down at a table with nazis, the only thing that's changed is the number of nazis at the table. @_cryptagion@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Okay show me biden and harris campaign promises for single payer/public option. Or that the majority of Democrats for congressional office run on it as their platform. Documented evidence. Not your feel good assumptions.

And no harris' primary run where she put it on her platform for all of 2 seconds doesnt count.

Then explain why the democratic stronghold states dont have it with their super majority of Democratic representatives.

Then explain why Massachusetts had to have a grass roots ballot initiative to pass a 1% tax increase on those making over million / year.

Im not the one delusional about reality here. But go on im waiting, happy to be proven wrong.

You know it's funny, I was going to link the Harris issues page from the election but I couldn't find it archived anywhere. I will say that we got Medicaid expansion when we gave the DNC 58 seats and would have had public option if not for holdout independent Joe Lieberman. We also got CHIP renewed by Democrats. Medicaid enrollment also increased under Biden and new programs started for new mothers, prison inmates, and children.

Meanwhile you've got Republicans literally freezing all funding to healthcare.

It's a night and day difference.

Tl;dr; apparently I wasnt the one living in a fantasy realm after all.

You're more than welcome to continue voting for democrats. But you're not going to convince people they're worth voting for if all you can come up with are programs that shouldnt even need to exist if democrats actually put forth policies that resolved the issues facing the middle class economically.

Programs for new mothers? Fucking please, enact fucking paternity leave and expand both to a year of paid leave usable for the first 7 years of a child at parents conviencce.

Chips? Are you fucking kidding me? Stop allowing ceos and investors to suck up all the cash our economy generates, prevent the ability to become billionaires while your workers require socialized programs and these programs are not even necessary.

As for harris campaign site, im very well familiar with what was on it. It was a bunch of useless policy positions that did nothing. Her healthcare policies were essentially insulin caps. Which sorry but thats not what the fucking problem is. Her economic policies were essentially 'you get to continue to being fucked over by corporate greed.'

Right now you're in an abusive relationship with the Democrats that you feel you need to stay in, and the fact is you dont, its really not that hard to walk away.

This toxic relationship is why Democrats funded the trump crazies thinking itd ensure your vote come election time. And for you it did. For those of us unwilling to put up with toxic manipulative shit stains who like to add in a side of genocide as dessert we've moved on.

Happy to come back if the democrats reform themselves (maybe you should ask yourself why only AOC and bernie are running around trying to build the base up) but until then they can: fuck. right. off.

Its like night and day

Its really fucking not. As we're seeing democrats are happy to go along with fascism and are completely ineffectual at combatting it.
