Dog bite severity varies by the breed of dog, and studies have found that pit bull–type dogs have both a high rate of reported bites and a high rate of severe injuries, compared to other non–pit bull–type dogs.
Pit bull–type dogs are extensively used in the United States for dogfighting, a practice that has continued despite being outlawed. Several nations and jurisdictions restrict the ownership of pit bull–type dogs through breed-specific legislation.

Sir, xer, madam, I grew up in and in farm country. You know not of which you speak. Permitting only works for the honest. You can continue, I'm done. You've been offered a valid perspective and refuse further consideration. Good luck in your endeavors.
My work explicitly is with farmers, their land, and their equipment. There is zero use for pit bulls on farms. The only people around here who have them are drug abusing trash that move out to the country and let their dogs stir-up problems with their neighbors' cattle. No respectable person around here owns a pit bull. More than one has been shot by a rancher protecting his land.
Different regions. They're used extensively here.
Used for what? What exactly do they do? And what region is this?
I'm disengaging since you seem to think you are entitled to my general whereabouts. You are not. And I said I'm done and engaging. Should you choose to momentarily suspend disbelief, you may decide to search the terms "pit bull working dog." Shoot, or even go watch YT videos on how sweet-natured and gentle. Be well.
I love your non-answer. Anyone reading this chain will know what this means.
