While Science Daily is a reputable source, just cite the actual material they’re referencing.

I posted a link to the article on Science Daily. Is that not appropriate for this community?

Could you explain further what's wrong with this post? I'm autistic and just kinda confused. Is it because it's from a news outlet? Maybe, I just need to revisit the community's rules. Asking because I'd like to be an active participant in the community at some point.

Science Daily is a news aggregator that pulls in press releases, similar to Science Alert and other sites. It is a viable source, don't get me wrong, but can become rather repetitive for social news aggregator platforms, such as Lemmy.
