What os happenning!!!! ? Is this the licensing stuff I've not been following !? The internet is horrible, every page is a flashbang and the ads omg the ads. The internet is dying!

Can you imagine a world without Firefox?
Edit: Actually, that would make a good tagline for a series of FF ads.
Or, alternatively, google could use it. Can you imagine a world without chrome?
To be fair I wouldn't want a Firefox monoculture either. I would like more usable open source browser engines not fewer. The problem with Chrome/Chromium is not that it exists but the way it is tangled up with monopolistic interests. Healthy competition and more user choice please.
Ha, I'll be all to happy to worry about a Firefox monoculture if it ever seems we're trending in that direction.
I guess? If the company behind chrome did not have a stranglehold on the web, the devopment trajectory would look nothing like what we've got now. It would be a wholly different browser with the same name. Obviously it would make no sense to say that shouldn't exist.
