God, I hope that's more than just rhetoric. Let the shock of the US's unforgivable betrayal lead to serious action from Europe.

If the UK and Europe all rally behind Ukraine as a massive fuck you to Trump, it would be absolutely magnificent.

Trump is an absolute embarrassment. How he treated Zelensky was beyond shameful.

So much of what is publicly known about the UK's intelligence capability (presumably military too) is tied up with the US. Based on this alone I'd bet that we (as in the UK) are simply not in any position to turn around and defy the US.

Remaining trapped in this position moving forwards is another matter. Europe has no choice but to develop capabilities that do not rely on the US. Only an idiot would think this is good for the US.

Yup. Those are our Trump Supporters. They think he's just swell.

I haven't even been able to watch the video of them honestly, it's a major source of depression as an American.

It's just a draft dodger and a couch fucker sitting there bullying the shit out of a person who has spent the last 2 odd years leading his country though a violent invasion.

I don't think the UK putting boots on the ground to police a peace deal agreed upon by Russia and the US is what you meant?

If EU plus UK follow through with their rhetoric, there will be no need for an exclusionary bilateral deal between the US and Russia.

Correct, that's the only way out of here where EU keeps its dignity, Ukraine keeps its ass, and US looks like a pathetic clown jerking off in the corner after trying to spank Ukraine on global stage for being a "shiti bitch"

It is some what of an opportunity for EU to assert itself a Great Power able and willing to protect its interest IN ITS OWN BACK YARD.

I have doubts EU will come together, Germany is not on board due to their oligarchy is not interested in this arrangement.

EU itself can probably still do it but it will a lot harder.

Germany has zero incentive to play for EU here though... they got 40k US troops in Germany, Russia won't ever bother attacking them and they could be buying that cheap Russian gas again if Trump flips into Russia ally, which is a real risk now.
