The guy on the grounds clothes or something likely are supposed to indicate who he is but for me the only thing that made it clear is the nazi (I keep on thinging there is a t in that) flag he seemed to have dropped form the initial push.

No idea where you are from, but yes, around my parts the only people running around in "tacticool" gear are right-wing extremists.

And then there's me, I just enjoy camo and guns

[–] einkorn@feddit.org 7 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Oh, no problem. There are also lots of people doing LARP or paintball stuff here too. But basically none of them would wear their gear under normal circumstances in public.

Also a big difference from just wearing a camo outfit and whatever the fuck the weirdo militias wear

And what of the ~~young people with green hair wearing a million pouches, a bulletproof vest, gothic combat boots, and a face-concealing gas mask~~ tactical cybergoths?

[–] perishthethought@lemm.ee 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Which fantasy book is that from?

The wonderful world of real life fashion movements.

Techwear is beautiful. And I can't help seeing something queer in the design language.

If you didn't lead with the fact that they have green hair I might have taken this question seriously

[–] Genius@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Well excuse me for thinking coloured hair is cool.

[–] Soulg@ani.social 1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I apologize for misunderstanding, but it definitely read as a conservative person whining about the youth being weird.

Cybergoths are to be respected

That's because you neglected the conversational context. The prior comments were calling people with tacticool clothes right wing weirdos. I was using language that implied a contrast.

[–] Soulg@ani.social 2 points 2 months ago

Ya I already admitted I made a mistake thank you

[–] SomeAmateur@sh.itjust.works 1 points 2 months ago

oh yeah nothing makes me cringe like open carry people

[–] BlemboTheThird@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 months ago

It definitely depends. I was at one of the protests on the 17th and there were several of us wearing gear and open carrying.

I have seen them on the internet but they are not around these parts so I was not sure with the basic cartoon form. I assumed initially but it was realizing the rug he was on was a dropped nazi flag that made it for sure. Im sorta glad I don't recognize it really.
