Agriculture increased the energy / biomass available to humans exponentially. Its a technological advancement of the productive forces that allowed humanity to more easily cope with hunger, and allow human population to grow. As Marxists we want to improve and increase food production and technology, feed more people, not roll back the wheel of history. Improvements in agriculture to this day are resulting in less hungry people.
I agree with all that, but if we’d never have invented agriculture, and lived in primitive communism forever I’d be happy.
