I hear sometime people call a certain movie 'the greatest movie ever made' but what's the criteria?

Same for me, I honestly don't care what critics say if I enjoy the movie, Casablanca is for some reason ridiculously overrated, I watched it once when it was on TV expecting like Godfather quality and it was boring asf.

And Resident Evil is peak fiction.
