Uhh... isn't that the point of candles? To burn?

Well, these ones can spread the flame from the wick directly to the wax, which would pose a larger than normal fire hazard for a candle.

In a release on the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s website posted Thursday, Trader Joe’s said the flame on its Mango Tangerine candles can spread from the wick to the wax, causing a larger than expected flame

Note to self, test melted wax for flammability when buying a new brand

I can image no scenario at all were this could go horribly wrong terribly fast.
