They activated automatic payments without me giving permission for it.

I asked for a refund, which is my right within 14 days and they are not answering their emails, besides the same automated reply.

I'm a prospective user and have done a bit of research, but I have one main concern. Since everything is stored in pieces and rebuilt client-side, does that mean everything will be downloaded and stored to your machine's solid storage? Or is there an option to have it only temporarily stored to memory or cache and then wiped when you're done with it? Or even an option to only stream the content (which doesn't look like an option from what I've seen). My concern is the risk of downloading malicious files and the risk of physically possessing pirated content.

I'm always looking for J-Drama, J-Movies, J-Magazines, J-Newspapers and so on so I was wondering which provider is the best to suit my searches!

Cheers

I can log into the usernetserver.com website fine, but the same user/password combo has stopped working in SabNZB. I logged a ticket about this but they just said "Read the error, the password is wrong!"

Anyone else having these issues? I've tried different ports / hostnames as listed here, but I get the same problem.

Hey guys, I was hoping for some advice.

I have some experience, although limited at self hosting. Current set up is a NAS server with q-bitorrent, Radarr, Sonarr, Prowlarr and Plex. All running as a docker compose.

However I wish to get into usenet and am looking at getting Eweka. However it is my understanding I will still need an indexer (or 2?) As well as an download client?

If anyone could provide some reccomended indexers and download clients that will best integrate with this current setup I'd be really grateful.

I'm also aware a lot of indexers need invites, what's the best way to get these?

Thanks in advance :)

Lost lots of 4K stuff. Rebuilding and having issues piecing together specific stuff I want. I haven't done my research on servers in years now. I haven't had to go and dig up old stuff for a long time now. I'm not dramatically failing on things, I. would hope that adding another server or two even temporarily may help me out.

I have Supernews, Tweak, and Usenet Farm unlimited on annuals. What would be a great/cheap option to add to these to hopefully complete more DLs? I'm possibly even open to more than one. Mmmmaybe if I add two more the 2nd could be a block but in my past experience even having multiple servers, my blocks go SO fast that I've always done unlimited.

Thanks!!!!

e.g. Eweka unlimited Usenet goes for 4€/month right now and they put a vpn account into the Package as well.

Usually a vpn alone would already cost that much (if you book yearly at One of the big names like Nord) and even more at reputable ones like AirVPN, Mullvad (5€/Month).

I made some backups of my movie collection to usenet and I was wondering if there is some front end like Emby where I can add the movies I uploaded with a download link. So if I want to watch a movie I click the nzb, it downloads, and I can watch that specific movie without having the complete movie collection on my pc. So a bit like Popcorn Time but then with nzbs.

Hello,

If I understand correctly Usenet will work over Sneaknet? Like imagine two villages in remote areas. They can host Usenet servers in each and just put Pigeon to fly in between them with 1TB sd card? There will be delay of course since bird can't go light speed, but will it works?

Other thing is "Solar protocol" It is fancy name of keeping data available 24h using servers that are on different parts of globe and each of them is solar power. Em I right that message will go west way faster than going east?

For more clear picture imagine servers that are directly connected over internet all the time but servers themselves will be only power during the day.

Last part what software can help me to check those two scenarios on my desk without connecting to Internet?

I haven't been able to use the bonus server for downloading yet. It is constantly timing out.

In Sabnzbd I see multiple of these warnings:

Failed to connect: timed out bonus.frugalusenet.com:563 (2a00:1d38:fa:1001:119::3)

Hi guys,

afaik, the key purpose of those 3 is to aggregate search results from Usenet/Trackers and thus serve as a single source of data for Sonarr/Radarr/etc.

Which one (NZBHydra 2, Prowlarr or Jackett) do you prefer and why? I guess their setup is more or less similar, so I'd rather ask which one is:

  • better in management of data sources (compatibility with trackers, adding of a new source)?
  • more stable and better supported by devs (i.e., less post-setup maintenance is needed)
  • ... maybe some specific functions you find useful and definitely recommend?

Thank you!

hi, After some research I learned i will need 100TB per day what is like 30Gbps or something crazy like that. No can do in home levels.

But I'm not interested in piracy at all here.

Do You know how to setup software to mostly revive discussion not mass of files?

Just got in on the ninjacentral registration, but I'm having trouble with releases grabbed through there. I've had to disable the indexer in sonarr and radarr. 98% made it through sabnzbd just fine, the others failed post processing with a report to "see logfile" which just says 7zip exited code 2, I think due to password. (Password location is listed on NC) The remainder of grabbed releases are failing in one way or another on sonarr/radarr, though typically it's failing to recognize the downloaded files. The downloaded and processed look to be correct and normal when I go to the sabnzbd output directory. Also 100% of the NC releases from the internal group have failed. Only 3 movie files have made it through all the way to plex, and they don't look so good. All other indexers have had no issue once I got this system all figured out.

-altHUB = working -Drunkenslug = working -matrix = working -geek = working -animetosho = working -NC = >1% success

So is there some special set-up for NC that isn't explained on the site?

Hi, I’ve been told a lot of old workprint collectors from the 1990’s used Usenet to trade for workprints and screeners? Are there any old collectors on here that are still around?

We have previously stated that we will be honoring any members who had an account at UsenetFire.com after some unfortunate situations forced the website to close, leaving our parent platform at UsenetExpress. We do not want Usenet users to be left homeless, so we will be honoring the accounts for UsenetFire.

Any members who had an active account at UsenetFire can access their membership at NewsDemon.com beginning today. We apologize for the delay in getting this setup and working, there was a lot of data to sort.

If you had an active UsenetFire account, fill out the form above. We'll send you a NEW username and password that will give you access to the NewsDemon system. Your account will be allocated with whatever data you had left at Usenetfire.

If you have support issues, please contact our support team at NewsDemon. As always, we really do appreciate all of you and the support you continue to give us as we grow our platform.

Hello Community

I am currently using the subscription to the usenet provider Eweka.nl. With their news client "Momentum" I find what I need. Since I wanted to automate the whole thing, I installed, configured and used the arr* applications. However, I noticed that when I search for my films and series in 4K or 1080p, most Blueray and German language via "Momentum", I have a large number of choices. Not with the arr* apps.

I assume that this is due to the indexer and newsreader that you use. Can anyone recommend me some of these for 4K or 1080p and German language movies?

Thanks a nice one
