I've been playing old formats against the ai and it's super beginner friendly (just started playing and collecting the game 2 weeks ago). Edopro let's you enforce custom rules so you can play any era of yugi from 2002 all the way up to today if you want. It's been fun learning the ropes of the game and playing decks from 2002, when the tcg first came to the west.

If anyone wants to play me and my janky 2002 tribal deck, lmk and we can set something up!

Marathon will inevitably attract a lot of legitimate criticism, possibly fail outright, and you will have another situation were discussions will be polluted by people blaming all game's wrongs on WOKE.

especially since the bigots decided to hate on it for having "unattractive female characters" even though they literally JUST COMPLAINED about how Emma Frost in Marvel Rivals looks like a "200lb man post surgery in drag" even though she has Jiggle physics and a skin that 's about as revealing as one can get without upping the game's age rating (AKA literally EVERYTHING they want)

do they think that we have the memory of a goldfish or something?

It doesn't help that her voice actor sounds super patronizing and I'm pretty sure is a colonial South African.

Came across a drunk on a bench who said his house was foreclosed, asked me to retrieve some items as he is no longer allowed on the property. So I go there, find his gun his watch and his ledger. Ledger turns out to be a manifest of slaves. Return it to him, throw all his shit on his fire. Mission ends, guy is sobbing over his burned belongings, I shoot him in the head: +1 to honor lmao owned.

My cat had to be euthanized today. She would often times climb onto my lap as I played my little children's card game on my computer after the kid has gone to bed. Then I would lean back as far as i could and she'd cuddle on on my chest right under my chin and give me kisses like a dog does.

I have so many of these codes and idk i feel like spreading something to people and I'm between jobs right now so i can't do meaningful aid stuff

if you use them all, please comment so i can add moreNN4-4ZZV-HDZ-N7G

I'm going to post another bunch of codes in the den (hexbears only!) because I want most of them to go to comrades

Pretty sure these only work on live but if they work on pocket, I'd be interested to learn that!

Hello everyone. Hope you all have had a good weekend. This week I've played more Balatro and chipping away at my DS3 SL1 run. Midir is kicking my ass but im starting to learn his moveset and consistently getting him to 1/2 health, and the main challenge is fighting to camera. Hope everyone has a good week

EDIT: Midir and Halflight are down. Only Gael stands between me and SL1 immortality

the Yo-Kai Watch series from Level 5 got written off by so many gamers - especially in the West - as just another "Pokémon ripoff," when in reality, it's one of the most charming, funny, and uniquely creative RPG franchises out there.

i mean yeah, it’s easy to assume Yo-Kai Watch was designed to ride Pokémon's coattails. You’ve got a young kid, they befriend supernatural creatures, those creatures help them solve problems or fight other creatures. It even launched with toys and an anime, like Pokémon. But this shitty surface comparison misses the heart of what makes Yo-Kai Watch special; and anyway, if you want to cite superficial, genre-based similarities as a sufficient reason to not try a game out, you could probably apply that same wobbly logic to many other beloved franchises

when Nintendo brought Yo-Kai Watch to the West, the timing couldn’t have been worse. The first game launched on 3DS in 2015 — right at the tail end of the system’s golden age and just before the Pokémon franchise hit full mainstream saturation again with Sun & Moon and Pokémon Go.

Combine that with a localization that struggled to translate the very Japan-specific charm and humor, and the game was basically fucking sent to die overseas. Didn't help that Hasbro bungled the toyline by failing to communicate which stores the collectible medals were being shipped to and when, making finding them a crapshoot for collectors.

It ALSO didn't help that marketing leaned so heavily into the "it's the next Pokémon!" narrative, which raised expectations to impossible heights (and also made Pokemon fans defensive and avoidant of the series on principle). People wanted battles with deep strategy and tournament-ready meta, but Yo-Kai Watch was always more about vibe, humor, and light social satire.

Yo-Kai Watch deserves a second chance, especially with the rise of "Pokemon-likes" like Cassette Beasts, Dokimon, Dragon Quest Monsters, SMT/Persona, Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Palworld

This little handheld console has been so great. My PC and Steam Deck must be so disappointed with me.

Retro consoles set up video

I had been following r/SBCgaming for a while and never felt the need to play very old console games. But now it seems that these consoles have really come a long way in what they can play. I saw reviews for the Retroid Pocket 5 and thought it looked amazing. Then I saw the prices of the Retroid Pocket 4 pro and it was a no brainer.

I bought the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro on eBay for £120 (probably could have gotten it cheaper, but I rushed to buy this). The fact that such a tiny and pocketable handheld can run Nintendo Switch games (less demanding ones) really blows my mind. I carry this with me everywhere. It fits in pretty snug trouser pockets and is only slightly bigger than my phone (although my phone is an S23 Ultra with a chunky case). I’ve had it for over 2 weeks and I’m still in the honeymoon phase and using this instead of my gaming PC or Steam Deck. I’m discovering consoles I never owned (3DS and Wii games). The fact that it plays Android games as well is such a great bonus (mainly Balatro with save game sync online) is such a great bonus. It has WiFi 6, hall effect analog sticks (much better than the Switch!), an IPS display, headphone port, analog triggers, bluetooth 5.2 and a decent battery. This this has no business being this good.

For anyone else interested:

· If you’re looking for an affordable, pocketable console with good performance then the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro is amazing and I would recommend it. Buy this on eBay as people are unloading these to upgrade to the new console.

· If you want better performance then the Retroid Pocket 5 has a better SOC and much better screen, but is twice the price and much less pocketable. Order on AliExpress when there’s a sale/coupons.

· Buying a console like this is a bit like adopting Linux.... You’ve got to be willing to tinker and troubleshoot. It took me hours to set it up (use this guide) and I still haven’t sorted out Vita emulation.

This is a device I didn’t know much about and really didn’t expect to enjoy this much. If you haven’t come across these little consoles, definitely take a look! If you want to test the waters and see if this is for you, then starting with emulation on your phone will is a good way to start.
