Good. The US should be given the cold shoulder, or not be given the same access and information they had before. They can’t be trusted. Does anyone really think he wouldn’t share any information he’s given with his Russian handlers? Right now, they're a threat to the other four members' national security.

Yeah, I remember that. They said they were doing it because they were patriots and speaking up for all of Canada (complete bs). But now there's an actual threat, and we don't hear from them.

The same people that did all that to protest wearing masks, are some of the same people who stood outside an immigration centre in Alberta with signs saying that immigrants were not welcome and should go home. Ironically, this time, those 'patriots' WERE wearing masks. But why? Why not own it if they're not afraid to let everyone know how they feel?

That's why I'd never get one. And the way Musk is now, I don't care if he may not be as involved in its daily operations, I wouldn't want anything to do with it. Some friends bought Teslas before Trump and Musk started making those comments. They want to get rid of their models, but are having trouble finding sellers.

Exactly. I just don't know why more conservatives who say they are all about Canadian sovereignty and security, still don't care that PP still refuses to get clearance.

Yes, but it's been updated a lot since then, I think the current iteration is the E-series.

He has to be. I can't think of any other reason why he'd be trying to hard to antagonize and disrespect long-time allies, while praising Russia. He then made that ridiculous statement that Ukraine started the war, when Russia was the one who invaded them, and also said that Zelensky should be 'nicer' to Putin. But Putin, who ordered the attack that caused who knows how many deaths, shouldn't be 'nicer'?

There was also the first term, where Trump fired the FBI director over an investigation into Russia, and then told Russia that he fired 'that nut job'. What kind of message does that send to their own people? Not just that he fired the director, but that he bragged about it to the people he was investigating.

I honestly think most of the GOP knows, but they're too embarrassed to admit it. Or maybe it's just pride, they think it's beneath them to be held accountable to anyone.

Feel the same way. He basically has the US Treasury now, and can do whatever he wants with his DOGE, I doubt he cares about Tesla.

Exactly. I really hope the Liberals and ALL the other parties bring this up during the elections, and refuse to let it go, or let the question be deflected or ignored.

I really hope the Liberals and other parties bring up how PP still won't get security clearance. How are we supposed to trust someone to govern us and claim to protect our sovereignty against the US and others, but they refuse to get clearance?

I remember before the purchase was made, I was really hoping the government would purchase the Swedish Saab Gripen. I think it was one of the finalists for consideration (that's what I remembered from a few news casts at the time, but not sure if it was an actual finalist, or just someone saying they thought it would be a good option.)

The main reason for me thinking we should have gone with the Saab, was that I trusted buying from Sweden more than the US. I can see the US putting some systems in place that could give them control or some way to negatively affect the F-35s. I remember someone saying that countries don't have friends, only interests, but I'd still trust Sweden more than the US to not betray us in some way.

One of the polls suggested that with Carney as Liberal leader, the Liberals would either be tied with the Conservatives, or even slightly ahead. But I'm just hoping that people don't take the polls for granted and don't get out and vote. While PP may have lost some ground in Ontario, he still has Alberta, so Liberals need to stay focused, since there's no telling when the election would be called, and they have to get their own leader in place first before that happens. If and when Carney gets elected Liberal leader, my concern is that some people will just think there'll be a large enough turnout that they don't have to vote themselves. I think right now, the negativity that's turning some people off PP and the Conservatives is mainly being fuelled by Trump. But if Trump turns his attention to things like the Middle East, or talks about Canada less, then I'm worried that people will become complacent and not see PP as someone who basically supports just about everything Trump says.

And even though PP talks about 'Canada First' and how he'd stand up for Canadians, I don't see him talking back to Trump. I can see Trump saying something offensive against Canada, and PP either deflecting, or blaming Trudeau, instead of defending Canada. Another thing is, I don't see PP trying to foster relations with other nations, he just wants to cozy up to Trump, either due to ideology, or because he thinks it will appease him, or both.
