Matrix is our self-hosted equivalent of a 'federated' WhatApps like platform. You could use it but it's not required ;-)

.ml is I believe the 'flagship' instance, so the instance of the devs of Lemmy ;)

.world is an instance run by Ruud and the team! It's just another server with the same software. Just like I am posting this now from u.fail :-)

@stux@mstdn.social here (surprise, surprise!)

I've changed the u.fail domain from Kbin to Lemmy since Kbin is still in very early development and I would like to use this awesome domain (giggles)

For now we only need to fix a weird email issue but everything else should work fine!
