they allow it but they now also require a model file to be included too. they didnt used to require this.

i could but that wouldnt work for original designs. considering just uploading a basic cube stl just to bypass the requirement...

im finding recent uploads with just svgs and no, uh, "print profiles" so i think thats a yes. kinda sucks though, i somewhat despise bambu and really dont want to use their site.

these files are SVG but DXF is also a common format. would love to help test things!

i know this isnt really the right place to post this but i cant find an active laser cutting community on here. if there is one please point me to it!

i made a laser cuttable version of something on thingiverse and went to post it as a remix but at some point thingiverse started requiring a 3d model file to post things? quite disappointing. i tried printables too and they have the same requirement. does anyone know if theres a "thingiverse for laser cutting"?

i wish it was viable. i spent two weeks with a pinephone and i ended up basically not using it. i want to try postmarketos someday but i dont have high hopes for it

"Starting today, all new mobile phones, tablets, digital cameras, headphones, speakers, keyboards and many other electronics sold in the EU will have to be equipped with a USB Type-C charging port," the EU Parliament wrote on social media X.

seems like probably yes!

i'll never give amazon a single dollar for ebooks but i source tech for a lot of people who arent used to there being alternatives yet or think its still pretty difficult

as others have mentioned the battery health thing is what makes phones difficult. im comfortable working on phones though so i usually offer them to people like "i have a pixel 3a sitting around that you can have for the cost of a battery". ive also got a 2nd gen kindle laying around that needs a new battery. considering hacking in a smaller cell if i have one. old ereaders usually cant connect to their servers anymore but that doesnt stop you from putting drm free epubs on them over usb
