This shows us that the entire (modern) concept of buying digital goods is flawed
I will have to disaggree on that, i can see your point but that is only if they had someone to manage thier system until they get the hang of it, otherwise they will jump back to what they were comfortable using.

why? for me it shows some warnings but still works
well people dont actually install OSs
not necessarily, for example some laptop oems do not use the standard format and you cant just extract them from the exe so you have to use windows
dual boot, you never know when will you be forced to use windows again
- and for those who suggest VM, there are situations where its a hassle to make thing work or its impossible all together ( updating bios is one of those )

looks like rendering adblockers extensions obsolete with manifest-v3 was not enough so now they try to implement DRM into the browser giving the ability to any website to refuse traffic to you if you don't run a complaint browser ( cough...firefox )
