My Costco (in SoCal) does not. They used to have the Morningstar sausage patties for a while, but they stopped carrying it.

Reddit didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment. According to Rathschmidt, “We’ll no longer comment on hearsay, unsubstantiated claims, or baseless accusations from The Verge. We’ll be in touch as corrections are needed.”

That's hilarious. Can't say I'm surprised by the hostility -- the articles from The Verge seem to be very favorable towards the protestors, third-party apps, etc.

I doubt anyone's under the impression that Tyson is doing this for anything other than greed/capitalism. But I'll be curious to see how well (or not well) this new product does. I can't imagine that most vegans will want to buy this; is the casual/plant based/curious market large enough for the product to do "well"?

How does one forget that they're dating someone? Did you guys not talk for weeks or something?

Note: "While the US meat giant has launched plant-based meat items in the past, these have always been through its Raised & Rooted brand." This is the first plant-based nuggets they'll be launching with their own name and branding.

How do you all feel about this? On the one hand, I'm always happy to see new/more vegan items pop up. But I just can't see myself buying from Tyson foods, especially when there are other alternatives from better companies.

Would that account for edited comments, as well? I see others are talking about comments that they edited (not deleted) being restored to a prior version.

I can see why you would think that, but that wasn't the case. It was genuinely about giving up something meaningful for Lent, strange as it was.

I had an ex that wanted to take a break for a bit because they wanted to "give me up" for Lent. They said I was the most important thing to them at the time, so it was kind of sweet and romantic...but definitely strange as well.

Yes, I can see the downvotes on comments and posts. I'm registered to the lemmy.world instance

Edit: But not sure if I'm seeing downvotes from all instances or just mine?
