It’s nice to be able to take a laptop and a few bluetooth controllers with me and be able to set up a portable retro gaming station literally anywhere.

Yep. I'm a much bigger fan of co-op games these days, so I have controllers and emulators at the ready to turn my laptop in a play station.

I guess it’s just up to individual preference.

Bingo.

Portability is a much bigger benefit than people realize.

Right now I'm typing this lying down comfortably in my bed, for example.

I think being tied to a desk to use our computers is unnecessary and reinforces a culture where people stay in their rooms and don't connect with others in person as much as they otherwise would.

My computer is like my 2nd brain, so being able to have it with me just about anywhere I go is important.

I used to have a desktop mostly for gaming and a laptop for work, but managing 2 computers is more hassle than it's worth so I decided to downsize to only 1 gaming laptop. "One machine to rule them all," as I say.

My only regret is not making the decision way sooner. I genuinely believe my life would have been better off for it.

Fuck israel.

Fuck zionists.

Maybe if they start getting shanked in alleyways, they'll change their tune. Trying to use a system they built to fix problems they made isn't working.

Personally, I'm all for vandalizing the property of zionists and their supporters.

It shouldn't even be that difficult. Could probably rig up a drone to drop bricks or paint on their cars, for example.

So an announcement is irrelevant.

Is it really an 'announcement', or just the act of trying to cover it up in the first place?

🥱

Always funny seeing people get mad at me because I refuse to be ripped off.

It feels like people don't try to figure out information others don't want them to know anymore.

Looking at world events and how much information is being censored from us, it's surprising how little effort is being put into identifying and documenting that censorship.

Even hearing about the 'Streisand Effect' seems like something the censors don't want to happen.

What do you mean by this?

Are you referring to paywalls?

I don't care if people want to dis it or not.

Based on my experience and the experiences of literally everyone I know, performance of video players has never been an issue.

I don't watch videos of such length and quality that seeking could cause lag; I'm glad I asked to get other people's input.

Asking for benchmarks is just par for the course when measuring performance. It's fine if they're not there, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Now go away, you silly person.

It's easier today to make a website that would be 'acceptable' in 2006.

Seems like there's going to be a point where people are noticing the games they spent money on don't work as they should anymore because the servers get shut down.

How would you feel if most of the multiplayer games you spent money on suddenly stopped being multiplayer because the business decided it's not worthwhile for them to keep the servers running?

It works fine on X, but switching to Wayland grays out the option to select which window.

I'm talking about a new game but made with old graphics and mechanics similar to Megaman 9 & 10.

I personally think such a thing could sell gangbusters and honestly go on record as one of the greatest Pokemon games ever made, especially in recent years.
