Considering the exponential growth in technology and science, it is not reasonable to compare to 1923. Even in 30 years, the world will be a very different place than now.

I am running Ubuntu on my machines and whatever Docker containers if I need some other flavour.
C++ is actually std::exit(), exit() is C.
This is basically what is happening in capitalism, everyone keeps pushing the problems on the guys down the line for short-term gains!
