I've heard people claim that China has a decent democratic system - one that's better at addressing the people's needs than the liberal democratic system we have in the west. Could someone provide me with resources on the way democracy works in China, China's political system, etc.?

What's even weirder is that the US Supreme Court was not even given that power by the constitution and just kinda gave it to itself in Marbury v Madison
