Something wrong with your phone if your camera looks all jpegified like that

I do not support this user being a moderator. They have recently abused the report system claiming "harassment" against me unjustly. I do not trust this user can fairly moderate a community.

Edit: on second glance I realize they were even referencing a community on another instance. It seems they don't really understand the platform either.

I hate this so much

I was wondering why the image is so blurry. It comes from a video.

Damn it. I lost the game.

What an awful format. A half-assed screenshot of a low quality image sent via some messenger.

Here's a better copy

I loved this video. Thanks!

That angle makes it look very different from what it normally looks like.

Same camel:

Why? Is there something wrong with checking your filesystems for drive errors?

It seems the moderators have stopped participating in Lemmy. The last modlog was 4 months ago.

@LillianVS@lemmy.world has no activity for 2 years and @STRIKINGdebate2@lemmy.world has no activity for 5 months.

Thanks

Recently, I saw a post on Lemmy of an article that piqued my interest, at least enough to try to validate the information in it. When I followed the link, I was greeted with a clearly AI generated image (it showed trump with an extra finger).

I immediately lost trust in the article and made a comment regarding that. (Link)

But the reaction to this was surprising to me. I got a response stating that the author has a background of being an established writer and reporter, as well as received a lot of downvotes. However, no one responded to my points on the use of AI.

My thoughts are that if you are making money on something, then you need to avoid AI when possible and reasonable.

What's going on here? Am I wrong and this is somehow an acceptable use of AI?

[Edit] side note of something that that just occurred to me: don't go to that thread to manipulate the votes or start ""brigading"" against it for the AI. I just wanted to discuss it here. Thanks.

I'm looking for an app, that does not have ads or in-app purchase kind of stuff, that has a robust feature to add text over an image. I want to be able to customize the text's font face, size, style (bold, italic, underline, etc), color, outline, and background.

Even better would be if it allows me to start by pasting an image from clipboard, and more so if I can copy the image back to clipboard after edits.

Ideally, something that is FOSS, but I wouldn't mind paying for an app if it's good and doesn't have a bunch of needless tracking.

Thanks y'all!

I'm trying to figure out how I can choose an image in my clipboard when the media picker window comes up.

For example, if I'm on imgur.com and I want to upload an image in my clipboard, there is no option for me to paste into the input field.

Ideally, I would like to have something available in the media picker to paste from clipboard. That would allow using clipboard for any app.

I kinda consider this something like adding the clipboard to the "share" menu. https://github.com/tengusw/share_to_clipboard

Is there anything like this?

I do not have root access on my phone.

I would love for a convenient way to copy a user's name, like gofsckyourself@lemmy.world, from a user's comment or post.

Similarly, I would like to be able to copy the community's name from a post, comment, or the community page itself, like !syncforlemmy@lemmy.world

When you receive a notification of a reply to a comment you made, it would be very useful to be able to access the post itself, rather than just the parent comment thread.

I was recently 'complaining' about how I find the name for Vermillion was difficult for me because it seems like it should be a green color. Since "ver" usually means green, like "verde".

So, I looked up why it's called Vermillion and found that the reason is because of this bug called Kermes vermilio:

Is there any particular reason why pasting an image from clipboard works in some places, but not others? I have not been able to determine what prevents it from working? Is this an issue with Sync? It doesn't seem to depend on the Lemmy instance.

The number of times a run gets ruined or I just die outright because I accidentally tap the wrong place or just accidentally tap the screen at all is making me want to stop playing entirely.

Nearly every time it's entirely out of my control and something causes it to happen.

That gap between the search and quick slots? You can click there and your character will move. Many times I will be trying to search and my character will go kill themselves instead.

I desperately need to be able to select a tile and confirm the action to move or attack.

Edit: Another small thing this would resolve is when I intend on examining something and I thought I hit the examine button but apparently missed, then I end up doing something I did not intend on doing. This literally just happened to me where I was trying to examine the two crystal chests in a room to determine what kind of items are inside, and instead of examining one of them I just opened the chest.
