Home Assistant is such an awesome tool. I use it every day and shamefully have it linked to my Google Home so Gemini can turn on and off devices when prompted. Aside from that, I could just go the route of setting up a local LLM on my server and having Home Assistant be my new assistant on device so it doesn't use Google at all.

I definitely recommend Home Assistant though, between the iPhone users and now myself on Android in our home, it makes everything appear native to the end user. Now I just use Zigbee and Zwave devices for everything since they're more reliable and much cheaper.

So far as I know, if your device uses their Gemini Nano LLM, it doesn't reach back to their servers at all unless you OPT IN to the 'Help service inprove'.

This feature though and a few other calling features has made me switch from iPhone single handedly, I was receiving 6-10 spam calls a day, now I see none because they're screened in the background. It's fantastic. I'm hooked on these Pixel features and only hope more move to becoming on device features with the ability to opt in to sending certain things off device.

The bottom left of my trackpad is sitting lower than the bottom right. The bottom right is almost true to the wrist rest area.

Whereas my bottom left is recessed a noticeable bit. Works fine, but definitely weird, may need to open it up and re-align something 🤷‍♂️

As of right now, no. It’s relatively new as I understand. The feature to record only events is a planned addition. As of right now it records 24/7 and records events. I have 7 cameras currently set up, a 7 day set of recordings takes about 1.5TB. This includes many 1080P and 2K resolution cameras.

Again no I’ll intent towards frigate, I needed something more plug and play and LOVE the plug-in functionality of it as well. I’m also already using it for HomeKit integration so it was an easy transition to making it my frigate replacement.

I’ve had difficulty finding any information on my question, so figured I’d ask here.

I’m trying to play Yuzu offline(installed through Emudeck) through game mode. When I click play, it gives the loading circle then kicks back to game mode screen for yuzu. As soon as I turn wifi back on, it will load the program and work as normal.

Question is, can you play emulators in offline mode/airplane mode through game mode, and if so, how.

I feel like I’m missing something, or a setting.

I’m a big fan of scrypted. I moved to that from Frigate. Not regrets, easier to setup and use.

While frigate is every bit as capable, I got tired of tinkering with it or it breaking with my install when I updated it.

No issues this far with scrypted.
