I am having the same issues finding communities from kbin. Once subscribed, things show up, but I can't find the community to subscribe to in the first place. We are federated but I think it's taking some time to really gain audience.
Oh I love to read long series and stick with characters as long as I can, so that's not an issue for me. I just like using Discworld as a refresher between heavier books and series. It was a breath of fresh air when I needed a few days off from Malazan here and there.
