Yes, and journalist soilders, UN shelter soilders, and the humanitarian aid workers from World Central Kitchen from U.S., U.K., and Australia, believe it or not, also hamas soldiers.

I thought federal reserve refers to the federal reserve board. And I am also surprised that the fedral reserve banks' website don't get .gov domains.

Not trying to argue with you, the name "federal reserve" is inheritly ambiguous. I am just stating my reason for my original post.

“sale of 1,000 Gold Cards this week, raising $5 billion in a single day.”

Good for you, even if the number is true (it is not) and these keep selling (they won't), we just need a year and a half to make back the 2.5 trillion stock market lost overnight; and 6 whole years to make back 11 trillion lost since he took the office.

BTW, I cannot it has only been less than 3 month. Feels like years have passed.

Do you have a source? Closest of what I can find is GDPNow https://www.atlantafed.org/cqer/research/gdpnow . But it is neither an official estimate nor from the federal reserve.

Children are not soilders. I don't think anyone is criticising israel for killing hamas leader or soilders, especially given that hamas is a terrist organization, and Isreal is provoked; but bombing hospital, killing children, journalists, and destroying UN shelters are not okay.

Whether terrorist attack justify a full scale invasion might be debatable, but sabotaging humanitarian effort, killing children and non-combative unit is not.

And people still thinks he is playing some sort of 4D chess. My friend in Georgia mentioned that people around her says Trump is creating a dip, so that federal reserve will lower interest rate.

Yes, because president can fire tons fedral workers, can send secret police to abduct people, but cannot control the federal reserve, and have to play stagnation or bust.

Imagine if you criticize Biden then you get abuducted on the street and throw into a prison for months, then a foreign prison for god knows how long, and finally your ancestral land (unless you are a native American).

I know that is not a country I want to contribute to, but from this comment, you seem to enjoy that.

Okay this debate has been way too tiring for me. I am not going to explain to another rich western kid why you are more fortunate than my friend who have been separated from her activist dad for decades.

If you don't believe western privilege is real and you are as oppressed as the numerous dictatorships across the world... Good for you I guess, and I will not entertain this topic further.

As for ways to learn, I prefer to learn through peer-reviewed literature; high-effort investigative journalism; and people who have worked decades in the field, and specifically hired to research and teach.

In principle yes, but it is in general dangerous to think that social media can be a learning moment and people should use whatever pushed to them to guide their behavior.

The content is eventually controlled by several monopolies and will serve their own good. As social media are natural monopolies, it is also really hard to build ethical platforms that competes with the ones backed by capital.

Westerners are priviliaged to have a diverse and free news/media landscape, non-profits pushing for truthful and accessible knowledge, and world-class educational institutions. I, as a Chinese, have never experienced such when growing up.

Yet, I see people insist a giant Chinese tech monopoly is their best learning experience, instead of resorting to more time-proven, unbiased, and trust-worthy ways to learn. Doesn't this sound dangerous to you?
