imo, i dont think theyre a "scam" exactly, but i do think the attitude that theyre an ecologically viable solution for human transportation is formed from propaganda. on a small scale it doesnt look so bad. when you consider the other amount of resources it takes to create them, theyre not a very eco conscious product at all. is it a sustainable solution? i would argue that they are not. if all cars were replaced with EVs we would have to mine that much more, which is destructive in a multitude of ways. the amount of electricity and infrastructure to facilitate all of the charging...i mean the texas grid melts down from peoples HVAC usage...there are much more sustainable solutions for travel, but in places like the US, its just not gonna happen without a full flip on the infrastructure in most places. and that costs tax dollars that could be better spent bailing out some corporation...im not sure what exactly defines solarpunk vision, but in a self sufficient and sustainable society, there should be more shared resources (electric public transit), infrastructure for bicycles/human powered travel, decentralized power grids, etc.

im pretty new to this whole fediverse thing, however i did manage to set up a matrix/element server on AWS to kind of just test things out. originally did it incase we needed more private conversations related to the ice map. ive never really done much organization, mostly direct action with autonomous anarchist groups etc, and that was well before we all had phones in our hands. constant question for me is how to maintain personal information protection. training and methods for on boarding etc...how and when to use onion router, how to maintain private and secure decentralization of servers and the users that use them...stuff like that. but my main focus these days is another project ive been working on based on regenerative agriculture and education, circular economy through block chain, gamification for added utility, and DAO style model for resource allocation / crowdfunding. tied all together to create an ecosystem that allows easy participation, reward, and utility, to promote more direct action in the creation of a different model of sustainable community and individual action. a life boat, if you will.

nice, ill have to read it again. but on first read through, definitely not too dense. a little doom and gloomy, but thats not a deal breaker considering the reality in its current state. i personally have been working on projects and always bounce back and forth between "is it productive to constantly focus on the negative or more productive to focus on the solutions and their positivity". another aspect of the fractal out thing is, on a personal level, the anger and hostility i feel about things has been the fuel to push to create and do things that bring out the positive side of that scale. if everything is reaching for equilibrium and we cannot have one without the other, than thats something i have to traverse internally so i can produce externally. what i produce is not an angry violent system, but something positive, fun, educational, and uplifting...but it stems from deeeeep anger and hatred for certain things, and a great love for something that i cannot fathom. especially when im deep in the depths of my negative state. so i guess im totally in agreement and understanding of what youre saying, and the message is good, and the procession from theme to theme is good, not sure the context or objective fully. but i am actually very motivated by this and my project does touch on the concepts of developing something for a post revolutionary world. but yeah preach on!

Was thinking about Marx theory through a modern day lens. Considering the monumental changes in globalization of production, labor, late stage capitalism etc. Found this paper interesting.

Written by Professor Hans G. Ehrbar of University of Utah.

I was just wondering about the application of Marx theory of economics in modern day. Considering globalization of production, labor, trade, commodities, and late stage capitalism. Found this read quite interesting. Although written in 2002 I believe it is a good brief look through that lens.

The author paper is written by University of Utah professor Hans G. Ehrbar.

Although i didnt look at data on "leftist" anti terror groups etc. There seems to be alot of far right radical groups worldwide that are organizing and deploying very quickly, efficiently and in large groups...Why does it seem like they are growing and organizing so efficiently? Is it because theyre generally protected by militant police states and act with impunity to some degree? Are they better at the internet? Is it because they are united in hatred, and leftish groups are coming from many different communities of thought? What is making them (the right radicals) so effective in organizing and building propaganda campaigns etc...?
