Something I love about that post is that that this is the kind of thing a shiteating bootlicker posts, who the fuck tries to impress some leader like this?? A problem with modern society is focusing power and holding up people in power as better or perfect. Thats not very communist or socialist if you ask me, in fact it implies the existence of a ruling class still.

I remember reading this and hoped it got posted here, I was pissing myself laughing at it like, the arseholes in those communities are absolute fucking morons.

The point is right in front of their face and they still can't see it (so the my can't screenshot this comment for a post, the point is that those regimes were authoritarian nightmares to live in as an ordinary person). I've said it before and I'll say it again, they're not tankies they're idiots who for some reason love any auth regime and then pretend that life there is so good.

And everytime I post some shit like this I have to say at the end, I do not like capitalism or the US (also I'm Irish and I live in Austria currently) I would much rather see a socialist state or proper commune style communism, what they admire is basically horrible shit which should be callef Maoism/Stalism/etc.

I watched the vid, what is up with the journalists' responses. Some guy is in prison in iran (the important story) and they're getting offended about their professionalism being attacked?? What do the want the guy to say? That we're dispatching seal team six? If the guy wasn't there on official EU business then of course Swedish government should be the lead?

It's definitely creating more of a case to defederate from it if it ever tries to federate

Very tasteful art. Who is the artist? For academic and art appreciation purposes, of course.

I really hope we see push back against this by other reps, it seems they were definitely getting close to something "they" didn't want people to know. It would be a shame and blatantly transparent something is up if they were stopped now.

Also isn't the whole point of an oversight committee to uncover things that're being hidden, especially if they're "embarrassing"???

Why do you think he's chair of the intelligence committee?

I would have, but I haven't been able to find this exact clip on YouTube yet. I can add to the original post if someone finds it. Edit: found it at the start of another video https://youtu.be/7v8M47YLKE0

Did you read the article? I will point out that we have/are working on quantum safe encryption algorithms so this is kind of unecessary doom and gloom. I actually work in this area and tbh the algorithms are ready to be implemented whenever companies want to. NIST QSC competition: https://csrc.nist.gov/projects/post-quantum-cryptography

In fact algorithms like AES are still quantum safe as long as key sizes are increased sufficiently

Mr Harris brushed off criticisms from the opposition on the issues facing Dublin. He said that he "shuddered to imagine" Sinn Féin holding the justice portfolio and denied criticisms that his party was more focused on tax cuts than law and order.

This current gov really can't be gotten rid of quick enough. We all know they don't give a fuck about the average person until it's a news story, and even then they only give enough to make it look like they've done something.

But the article says they did pay???? The point here is more about how it's one rule for "normal" people and another rule for students. Especially when:

The Rental Tenancies (No.2) Act of 2021 says that a tenant cannot be forced to make upfront payments of more than two month’s rent. This applies to any tenancy created since 9 August 2021 but there is an opt-out of this restrction for student-specific accommodation, allowing students to pay more upfront if they want.

As usual, it's students getting the second class citizen treatment. How in the fuck do you know anything about these people, or who their family are, or even if they are getting help to pay? Even if they are rich, an important point of this to me is that if we allow strategies like this and expensive housing to continue, one the rich will get to go to uni. I know there's no fucking way I could go if I had to pay like this, and that rent price for a room is almost unaffordable for me and all.

Fuck landlords and fuck the Irish governments for not doing anything about this shite
