Damn. I miss Picasa. It was a powerful tool too.

That's one problem I have come across. Roku, Apple, Google, Amazon. They make great streaming devices but they'll all track you. The best answer I have is a PC attached to your TV.

I learned about the Trojan Room coffee cam where they set up a camera next to the coffee pot so others in the building can see if there was any available.

You could dual boot, or virtualize a few machines.
