Do you have "mouse_move_enables_dpms" or "key_press_enables_dpms" set to true in your misc hyprland config?

With this your screen should wake back up on key press or mouse movement.

As far as I know, their domain has expired, shouldn't be anything too serious.

You could make a copy the game files once downloaded from steam and try replacing the steam api dlls with the ones from the Goldberg emulator
