I finished watching this on Netflix like half an hour ago and it was pretty weird to hear her talk about her own writing even though she is deceased.

But that being said it’s a brilliant documentary and really opens your eyes to what others may be going through.

The ending was interesting about what the news reports on and what they don’t

Edit: corrected a word and added some thoughts.

That’s something like $300 for 10 minuets

It’s interesting but wouldn’t the most active community out of the bunch take dominance of the feed?

For example you have community “xyz” who is on lemmy world and has 100 posts a day and then you have the other “xyz” community on lemmy ee who has 500 posts a day. The one on lemmy ee would take the feed and essentially become the most popular one, this would make the other community basically disappear as everyone would move to the more active one.

Edit: spelling corrections

Yes but no need to click it as long as you click the majority of the tank

The Monster Raving Loony party seems like the best option right now.

Looking at it from that point of view I agree with what you are saying, I haven’t thought about it that way before.

Whilst I’ll agree with your statement some people prefer a service to use rather than self hosted.

And I suppose some people may worry about electric usage as well when running hardware 24/7. I guess that’s just 1 reason.

Start a petition, I’m sure people will sign it based on how serious this could be for security in general

Due to Apple pulling ADP from uk consumers I think it would be fitting for us to discuss and suggest alternatives that our uk members could use and switch to.

For me it’s the fact that where I work the management don’t give a fuck about the staff and the fact that we got promised new equipment which we got but a week later they chained up to a rail so that only one shift can use it.

So let some steam off and talk about it.

For me I passed my test and on the first day nearly tipped the forklift. I still feel bad about it.

Probably for me it’s going to be:

Cigarettes after sex: “Apocalypse”

Bob Sinclar: “world hold on”
