It's certainly an argument for not having them. In the US, women in Texas are dying of sepsis because they can't abort non-viable fetuses. Health care for women in some places is terrible. I think it was Nigeria where a huge percentage of women die in childbirth.

So you still wanted the kids? It didn't cause you to hesitate? I knew very early that I wouldn't have kids. Could be because my mother told us that kids ruin your life, though.
This is me every weekend.
Could be a trap though, knowing how bad things are.
I agree with this. I almost just want to get a dumb phone for calls and a hotspot with a pinephone or something for everything else.
I'm in the US, and unfortunately, there is an escalating data threat with the latest Supreme Court Ruling that will allow uncleared parties (or poorly cleared parties) to access our government personal data. When combined with the broligarchy data, the aggregate of those becomes extremely dangerous to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of people. Life is short, but we're in an emergency crisis, in my opinion. Data protection is a civic duty at this point. The carelessness could very well create a caste system here.
I never thought about that, but you're right. I was wondering why that kept happening.
Tried a search for jellyfin earlier today, and my tv youtube all would not load it.
I'm having trouble with that too. Maybe we should all start posting videos of cool stuff so it will take off.
It's hard to talk to people about this. Nobody seems to understand it. Kind of reminds me 10 or so years ago when the "I have nothing to hide" team ignored me as I warned about Internet privacy and the impact on swaying opinions and controlling experiences. This threat level is way higher.
Pretty bad when there is a group that makes the Heritage Foundation nutbags look like saints.
This is becoming a huge problem for me.
