Thelema was also intentionally created though they are unrelated as far as I am aware.

Wiccans are not a monolith. Some have claimed to be an ancient faith reborn while others are aware of the hodgepodge nature.

Reread Trump did in fact get quite a lot of votes. It is almost as if people are individuals or something.

That being said their point is America shouldn't lead this charge and IMO that's fair given America's support of Israel.

"She suddenly became political a few years ago by promoting the invasion of ukraine. Peak russian asset."

Is it an ad hominem when you include the rest which explains the claim made you excerpted?

Which exit poll are you using? There were conflicting ones at the time. Overall the numbers aren't large enough to make a difference but Im just curious which one you used.

Can you really generalize an entire population with a broad stroke?

Top link is paywalled FYI

It seems like Muslims in the USA did though I cannot find anything that differentiates immigrants vs non-immigrants. They seemed to have voted against Harris for the most part because of her support of attacks on Gaza. This makes perfect sense if you recall the same community complained about Biden's support of the war on Gaza in the primary.

Sure, but that could be said about any belief system depending on when you start the clock.

Not really? We don't have distinct points of creation for many faiths. With Wicca it can be set in a specific time and place. You aren't going to find Wiccans from 100 years ago.

Wicca is a blend of multiple different religious ideologies that existed in Europe at some point in the past. If you took someone from modern day Colchester in 200ce they might recognize parts of their ancestral faiths but parts will be from other tribes and peoples. Hence Wicca doesn't have an "authentic" set of beliefs as much as an intentionally created one. That's different from something like Judaism or Christianity whose views weren't created by people with the intent of creating a fait h.

They were like "How can we justify them having the place we know we need them to have?" and worked from there.

I know a guy living on Central Park West with 2000 sq ft two floor apartment with park views that was paying less than what I paid for 1k sq ft in the middle of Queens. That's a nicer place in a better area than Friends had for less than 3k a month thirty years after the show all because of rent control.

We know they all came from money except Joey and Phoebe. They could also be getting money from family.

They genuinely believe liberal is an insult rather than an ideology that they disagree with which is kind of weird.

None of this reflects my experience here. Are they visiting lemmy?
