You need to go to Communities tab, and from there subscribe to those communities. When those appear in your feed, you can comment.
You can't directly go to those instance and comment.

I don't have suggestion, but Cradle series is just so good! I just finished Waybound yesterday and I am sad that the series ended.

I live in 3rd world country where the government doesn't care much about torrent/piracy too. So far there's no problem.
I guess it depends more on the country you live. If nobody is using VPN, you will probably be fine.
