Disco Inferno anyone?

Starting with what I dislike: collectibles (or pickup upgrades). They spread these out over the levels and I find myself scouring the map to see if i didn't miss anything. It ruins the pacing of the game. Some examples of my recent plays that do this are the Last of Us games and the Mass Effect trilogy. If the game is build around exploring your surroundings, it's a different story of course.

What I really like in games is character building and i love it when a character improves depending on your playstyle. A very solid example is Skyrim's leveling system. It just feels more organic.

IWantToWiFi / IWantToWeeFee (In my country wifi is often pronounced as weefee)

Getting some Kaineng City from the original Guild Wars vibes.

The Mass Effect trilogy and simultaneously making a guide in Notion containing who to bring for unique dialogue, collectibles and instructions if they're not given in game.

Totally agree on the Lost World: Jurassic Park. That movie has some great & interesting scenes.

Robert Downey Jr and Johnny Depp? That sounds really interesting.

That movie really deserves a cult following. But I just never see anyone talk about, so i decided to spread the word every chance i get. I hope it will end up at some stream service in the hopes it gets some traction.

Bunraku, and despite the title it's an english movie with Woody Harrelson and Ron Perlman. Its setting stands out the most as it's made as a giant paper popup book with a sin city ambiance sprinkled with some cartoony humor.

Although the movie tone is pretty serious ala Sin City, it's not a serious movie at all. And I believe a lot of dont-take-it-so-serious movies got unjustly canned a lot in '00s & '10s by critics. I'm glad to see that's changing a bit over last few years.

I always tell people when they step out on the streets, they walk in a democracy. Yet when they step into the office, they walk into a dictatorship.

Lemmy show you the way.

Ok, I'm just going to throw out a couple of ideas.

  • First limit the amount of memes. I get that memes are funny, which i why i say limit and not ban. But if people come here and all they see is memes, they probably will not take this community seriously.
  • Make useful posts. Share guides, popular new mods, anything relevant to people playing the game. I would also say any news, but that's probably going to be scarce for the time being.
  • Start interesting discussions.

If you want to attract people, give them something to be attracted to.
