Ship parts are an item like med kits, but for ships. You can buy them from some merchants or sometimes loot them from destroyed ships. If it's in the cargo hold of your ship you can use them. You can enter the ship's hold a number of ways. In the start menu go to ship and you see a button to enter the cargo hold on the bottom right. There you can store or take items from your cargo hold like you're trading with a companion, as long as you're in a radius of 250 meters of your ship. There's also a blueish computer screen in your ship's cockpit where you can enter the cargo hold, in the frontier it's on the left on the wall just before your piloting seat.

This actually hits the nail on the head and shows that vehicles are the wrong thing to ask for. It's not the travel distance/ time, but the lack of experiences between 2 points. In Skyrim and Fallout 4 a lot could happen if you travel on foot. Patrols, random encounters/events and all that stuff. A game about exploring should be about the journey, not the destination or the travel time. Having said that I still do enjoy the game.

Almost every time something negative is said about Starfield, it feels like walking into a room with Draco Malfoy, Geoffrey Baratheon and bully Maguire bullying on Bethesda/Todd.

But here in this thread, on the worst review I've seen so far, people are actually chill, acknowledging the flaws, but enjoying the game. It's such a fresh breath of air.

Why stop there? Let's rename the mouse buttons to mouse/hamster buttocks.

No, as another user suggested it was my CPU overheating, which i have fixed and haven't had any problems since. and I don't know why it says 2gb on the videocard, it is a 6gb card. I double-checked before posting.

After unclogging the ventholes and setting my laptop on a laptopstand, the CPU stays considerably coller and I haven't had any issues ingame. So thanks, I appreciate the help!

I had constant framedrops because my cpu was overheating. I used a program called apeccy to monitor temperatures. Iwas told it was either temperature or settings, so maybe it helps to check that out.

I could give that a try. But I also noticed that the bottom vent-holes were clogged up with dust, so i blew that out but i haven't played after that. Also put it on a laptop stand for better airflow. I really appreciate all the help, thanks.

I installed something to monitor the temperatures, and indeed my cpu is hovering between 90 and 100 degrees Celsius. Is there anything i can do about that? Maybe applying some fresh thermal paste?

Settings were the first thing I lowered to see if it had an impact, as it didnt make a difference i doubted that was the culprit.

I red all rtx cards could do DLSS, but only the 40xx could do DLSSG, but just like you I'm no expert on these things.

I did install this mod today, and although my average fps went up to about 35/40 fps, i still get those massive framedrops. They only last about 5 seconds, but its getting quite annoying. I did some searching before I posted here and all i could find was "install on ssd", and both my drives are ssd so i doubt that's the issue.
