I'm gonna come out in favour of this, despite the comments. One last outing, why not? A guest star spot I think is overdue for any remaining TOSers in SNW. Even if it isn't the greatest episode, I can't see any harm, and Shatner reprising the role would drive engagement pretty high (meaning more episodes!)

Well, guess I better start watching some more SR!

Especially to see how the speed up rules are going. I'd love to see quicker lineouts and far too often do props take a knee, don't believe all us NHers are slaves to tradition, kicking, and the internationals. Edinburgh could almost certainly benefit from a much faster game, as could Welsh sides

I think this game will haunt Italy, but not for the close loss. Bit of a bad advert to see the score difference sadly

The morning after and I'm still not sure if we were ill disciplined or if English defence was just that good. Will see what is said on the replay tonight

Gutted. No conversions successful. Penalty factory in the second half

No news on a Sunday, nothing happened in south west London about 5 pm yesterday, so here's some cool art instead

Wales may well best Scotland next week after that performance. A big improvement at least

[–] Olap@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Yup, I'm worried about Wales next round for sure. England got out of jail again this weekend, I bet you are French next weekend!

England's try clearly held up. They are lucky to be only 3 behind

Scotland with the possession, and Duhan making the best passes

Porter should be off too!

Great story, and a good piece of journalism from BBC Scotland too. Happy Saturday all, enjoy the Calcutta Cup game later!

Predictions

Head: Ireland, cannot tell (my scottishness blinding me), France

Heart: Wales, Scotland, Italy

Arse: Ireland get an early 20 minute red leading to a welsh purple patch, but Ireland fight back to steal with a last minute drop goal. Scotland turn up out the gate and rock to a 15-0 lead by HT, 2nd half they disintegrate but hold on with a missed drop kick from a Smith. France continue like last week, dropping the ball every other play and Italy still manage to lose this one - a game that will haunt them for a few years

Wrote this thread last night and reckon I was asleep about 2 minutes later :D

Bit blowy today, but dry and warmish, might try for some washing oot!

Saturday

1415 Wales v Ireland
1645 England vs Scotland

Sunday

1500 Italy vs France

All GMT for timezones, and what a feast again. Wales with new management, hoping against hope to at least give Ireland a scare. Ireland resting a couple of players even

An England side that have a bit of bounce after stealing a win vs France last week vs an underfiring Scottish side that have won this fixture the last 4 times. This one on paper is too close to call!

Then an Italian side at home vs France that is licking their wounds. A draw last year, will Italy go one better?

As always, predictions, reactions, and comments always appreciated. Happy six nations all

Hullo folks, how are we this weekend?

Great to see windfarm cash going to the community

Some hype for the biggest game of the year for Scotland. Borthwick would say this, but beating France once does not magically make you a great team, it's only 1 result. Nor does beating a poor Australia. Nor Wales or Italy. I'm still scared of Twickenham, even if Finn Russell says he isn't. But I don't fear this England side either, and In hope the players don't either.

Both sides needing this game to keep hopes of (2nd realistically) the championship alive. The Calcutta Cup to play for!

Tis a bonny tartan an aww. Mon the witches!

Farewell Eric, 93 ain't bad at all

5 weeks of November rugby for us later this year. An opener for the no2 spot to kick off, Scotland getting a crack at the last to win against nation week 2, Wales to struggle vs Japan week 3, Ireland getting a crack at the number 1 spot week 4, and Wales getting pumped to finish. Can't wait already and we're still 3 to go in the 6n!

Smooth brain move there

NIMBYs gotta NIMBY. They won't be complaining when zonal power pricing comes to Scotland

I'm still to visit, I did hear it needed a bit more in it though. Here's hoping!
