I feel like Microsoft has been extremely dodgy when it comes to the future of the Xbox. I bet they'll just hire more people to fill the gap. It always seems to be "look we're trimming the fat!" And then "look we're expanding". Anything to boost the stock

They need to be in uniform then. If they don't want ICE to be assaulted, then they need to have their faces shown, be in uniform, and conduct themselves in an orderly fashion.

If somebody rolls up in unmarked cars with facemasks on, I would assume they're abducting someone.

I have a coworker with this illness! She got it from a tick when she was about 10 and it's never gone away. She has to be careful because she's super sensitive to the point where if something is even cooked in beef fat she will get super ill. It sounds horrible.

I find it odd that they are doing this slowly. Is there a reason for it? I was thinking that it's a distraction. Keep doing it slowly, and you can use the victims as a scapegoat. That or they're just sadistic?

The reason I was thinking as a scapegoat is because they now went after Iran. But maybe I just don't know enough about the subject

Edit: I suppose also it's probably easier to mask as "justified" when they kill at random, VS a one and done destruction of the entire region. It bothers me that Western countries are supplying Israel with military aid, though. I don't want my tax dollars being wasted. never mind going to genocide. It's awful.

I'm soon going to be forced to use an internal ai tool at my job. I'm not looking forward to it. These LLM's can be helpful in some use cases but it feels like they're some kind of buzzword magic element to make people think there's extra value

It's like when everything was "artisanal" for a while, and stores were attempting to charge more money because they put the word in the title of an item. It feels like I'm taking crazy pills watching everyone attempt to grift.

I don't have an answer for you, but wanted to say that ffxv is a very unique experience and I really enjoyed it. Watch the anime episodes on youtube and check out the movie too! No other game has given me that "road trip with your friends" vibes like this

Ah, yes, that's true. Sorry, I'm not sure if it came off that way. It's not that I'm trying to be friends with a therapist. I just don't want to feel like I'm being judged or criticized?

I've only had a few therapists, and one didn't really do anything, and it felt like a scam, another one tried having me do CBT and I didn't really find it very helpful after a while and another seemed OK but also it felt like I was being scrutinized or judged. They seemed like they were analyzing me without giving me anything to take away from the experience.

Thank you for the information. I appreciate it a lot. I've thought about running something locally but I'm not sure if it is practical yet depending on how long it takes

I've been using AI therapist tools sometimes. I feel torn because I've come to the conclusion that a lot of my problems are caused by external factors that can't really be fixed. So would speaking to a real person actually make a difference?

I would probably like to speak with a real therapist, but it's expensive, time-consuming, and I've never met one that I feel can fully relate to or understand me. I always feel like I'm silently judged or like they genuinely have no helpful way to help me. So... in a way, the AI tools can at least let me talk through things and get to a more stable place mentally when I need it.

The whole aspect feels wrong, though. Like I realize that I have a problem, but with little to no ways to actively fix it, I kind of have to accept it and / or ignore it. I can relate in some ways to how these people feel. When I've been in a vulnerable state, sometimes having a chat bot reply and bounce ideas back and forth can feel emotionally stimulating and reassuring. I find that alarming sometimes when I take a step back and try to process those feelings, though. Then there's the whole issue of what these company's are doing with the data and information gathered from their users.

I was sad finding out the dead rising remake used Ai textures for background textures in shops and stuff.

Been kinda disappointed with Pirate software recently. He positioned himself as super knowledgeable but then makes mistakes. Of course, everyone makes mistakes, but then he kinda just doubles down when he shouldn't sometimes.

My guess is that because he became quite popular quickly, he jumped into just pumping out content as fast as possible without giving himself time to properly research and investigate stuff.

Heh yeah you're right

You know, I honestly don't know! That's a good question

(Is there a more appropriate community to post this in?) Thank you in advance for any advice/help!

I've come across this build on PC part picker, but I was hoping someone could help me customize it a bit better for my needs. I'm going to be streaming, gaming, and editing videos on this machine.

https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/guide/ZpkcCJ/enthusiast-amd-gamingstreaming-build

I would like to future-proof the PC as much as I reasonably can (10-15 years' usage would be great).

My budget is probably around 2-3k CAD? I am over extending myself slightly, but I have used my PC daily for 12 years, and I figure if not now, when?

The only other thing I might consider is new monitors, but otherwise, I'll be reusing all my peripherals as those are more recently upgraded!

I was also thinking a better Nvidia card might be worthwhile? The main thing is I'm not familiar with how the parts work in terms of compatibility. That and electrical usage/needs from the power supply

Edit: are prebuilts any good nowadays? I'm not opposed to the idea. I know I could figure out assembly myself, but if there's something worthwhile, I wouldn't be opposed either.

Edit: Just want to say thank you for all the helpful advice and information. I ended up finding a PC that met my needs and then some!

What are your thoughts on this? Are you happy? Sad?

I'm extremely curious. If you asked me this as a kid, I would have been celebrating. I always thought games should be accessible to everyone. But now I'm questioning if Microsoft plans to keep the Xbox ecosystem alive.

Exclusive titles are/were the incentive to keep people on certain consoles. Currently, I think only gamepass and digital libraries would be the only reason to stay with Microsoft if they continue to make systems in the future.

Additionally, I'm curious as to how this could destabilize the market. With no direct competition for high end hardware (other than pc/the steam deck), Sony can kinda do whatever they please.

I feel like I've played a good amount of horror titles, and I find I don't really get scared much anymore.

What are some titles that scared you the most? I would love to hear your recommendations!
