Idk to me it read as if they genuinely don't know what to do or how to help. I have only heard of a few protests going on. Other than protests, organizing, and boycotts, I'm personally not aware of what else someone could do.

Trump and company aren't going to stop because of protests. They have money and power.

So, ultimately, it comes down to threats or violence. But people have to get uncomfortable enough(things have to get bad enough) for them to get to that point. Nobody wants to get to that point, so all other options will have to be exhausted beforehand unless something causes escalation of the situation.

This kinda sucks to see. Less competition is a bad thing for everyone. Maybe it's just me hanging onto every bit of nostalgia I have, but the Xbox generations were special.

I know that it can't like...physically remove any of the good times I had with the systems over the years. But these consoles have been part of my life since 2001. So many friends and memories were created with these systems. In a way, it feels like your friend is dying, LOL. I know that's extremely over dramatic, but like damn.

Some of the exclusives that came to the system were really special. It's sad to see that over the past decade, there were really only a small handful of exclusives that were notable. Especially when early on we had some absolutely amazing stuff.

On a more serious note, I am extremely curious what this means going forward and how they will handle digital purchases a decade from now.

Just donated to wikipedia. I've used it a ton over the years.

It seems like they are moving away from hardware sales now that they're pushing their console exclusives to PC/Playstation. They really are trying to push for gamepass, but I feel like that's going to alienate their core fan base that has invested into their ecosystem.

They don't seem to be concerned with communication either, which is concerning considering Sony and Nintendo both seem to have better outreach in the past decade. Such a strange shift from when the 360 dominated the market despite having red ring of death issues.

It's bad, but in a lot of ways, I've given up on looking for a better job. I do go back to it from time to time, but it leaves me feeling depressed and stressed for the entire week before and after. It's so hard to find something that I "fit" with.

The current online application processes are terrible

Dang it. Why can't more wealthy people just be chill and not psychopaths. I get that statistically, they are more likely to succeed due to lack of morality. But damn.

It would be cool if somebody nice acquired the businesses.

I'm thankful that some people in influential positions are still speaking up and not backing down. Bernie is a real one, and we should all strive to be more like him

I think a lot of my creativity is stunted because I don't generally notice these issues in rockstars games until someone points them out lol. I think it would be pretty cool if they gave people more choice and options

I'm not entirely sure why places do this. It will cause distrust in your product and cause people to find the service elsewhere or for free.

This is just discrimination. They're trying to figure out how to squeeze every last cent out of our pockets. They've already squeezed us as it is! If I can, I'll avoid any place that does this.

I wonder how difficult it'll be to mess with them. Can they be hacked? How easy can they be broken?

Edit: Actually, the only way I would accept this is if they had a database online where everyone could scan and scrape the data. If it was constantly being analyzed and they could prove they weren't screwing people, then sure, why not. It actually might convince me to shop there more if that were the case. That would probably be more fair than what they do now. As it stands, it's not like we can see how they change prices day to day all that efficiently. But I could see how they could use these to abuse prices a ton.

I don't think the rest of Europe is going to let Ukraine lose. A loss for Ukraine is a loss for the rest of us.

(Is there a more appropriate community to post this in?) Thank you in advance for any advice/help!

I've come across this build on PC part picker, but I was hoping someone could help me customize it a bit better for my needs. I'm going to be streaming, gaming, and editing videos on this machine.

I would like to future-proof the PC as much as I reasonably can (10-15 years' usage would be great).

My budget is probably around 2-3k CAD? I am over extending myself slightly, but I have used my PC daily for 12 years, and I figure if not now, when?

The only other thing I might consider is new monitors, but otherwise, I'll be reusing all my peripherals as those are more recently upgraded!

I was also thinking a better Nvidia card might be worthwhile? The main thing is I'm not familiar with how the parts work in terms of compatibility. That and electrical usage/needs from the power supply

Edit: are prebuilts any good nowadays? I'm not opposed to the idea. I know I could figure out assembly myself, but if there's something worthwhile, I wouldn't be opposed either.

Edit: Just want to say thank you for all the helpful advice and information. I ended up finding a PC that met my needs and then some!

What are your thoughts on this? Are you happy? Sad?

I'm extremely curious. If you asked me this as a kid, I would have been celebrating. I always thought games should be accessible to everyone. But now I'm questioning if Microsoft plans to keep the Xbox ecosystem alive.

Exclusive titles are/were the incentive to keep people on certain consoles. Currently, I think only gamepass and digital libraries would be the only reason to stay with Microsoft if they continue to make systems in the future.

Additionally, I'm curious as to how this could destabilize the market. With no direct competition for high end hardware (other than pc/the steam deck), Sony can kinda do whatever they please.

I feel like I've played a good amount of horror titles, and I find I don't really get scared much anymore.

What are some titles that scared you the most? I would love to hear your recommendations!
