Slightly tangential, but it's beyond any reason that her and my dad can read the exact same Bible and parse different meanings from it. My dad is the least judgmental, least preachy Christian I know. She missed the memo, it seems.
Yes. My mom, unprompted one day, said:
"Did you guys know that Elon Musk's Dad owns an emerald mine?"
Followed by me saying "yes, did you also know he used slave labor in apartheid South Africa to build it?"
"Well I don't really care about any of that. I just thought it was cool."
We have to do monthly "quizzes" at work pertaining to online safety, email phishing, password managers, the like. You watch a video, take a quiz, easy. Recently the videos have been AI generated, which is horrible on its own, but one of the videos we watched suggested that apps from the Play Store are always safe and can be trusted.
And then shit like this exists. Glad that Kathy in HR with 0 technical knowledge could download an app like this, and suddenly our passwords are swiped.
Excellent write up as usual. I've had Selaco on my wishlist for awhile now but it may be time to pick it up!
Pretty kitty 😊
Classic. Didn't know CK referenced this!
Hmm... Now I need a Loathing TTRPG.
Agreed. I have a dozen or so people using my Plex. There is no conceivable way I'm going to get my less tech literate friends and family to use jellyfin, much less am I going to find a way to set it up for remote access with my limited knowledge. Plex is just too convenient right now.
Agreed. I'm God's laziest procrastinator yet even in heavy rain I'll return my cart.
Thanks, dipshit.
Happy pride month!
