Sometimes, when uploading to some sites, if I upload images with resolution and size within the correct parameters, the server doesn't re-compress the images. If the images do get compressed, then they come out looking degraded.

I don't know if those settings are per-server.

Does anyone know if there is a preferred resolution, file type and file size for photos and videos on pixelfed in general or pixelfed.ca?

Hey I can see people interpreting it that way. Like binging on social media, except this isn't addicting so you just get fed then live on with your life.

I do think pixelfed.ca sounds more organic.

At the register a new account page .

When I try to register, the form just deletes the passwords and unchecks the “I am at least 16 years old” box.

I know it just got launched but I'm following the suggestion to come here for support.

Can't wait to start posting here though!

Thank you!

I want to join Pixelfed, I joined a server but it isn't even updated to work with the app yet.

So I've been eagerly anticipating the fedecan one because I'm sure you guys will do a great job.

I couldn't see converting a lot of friends over to lemmy, but Pixelfed and loops is something I can see my friends being interested in.

I find talk therapy is the best for us NDs. The therapy itself is such a relief and while you are describing your problems, the therapist is getting to know you and you are getting to know them.

I've also recently heard of some interpersonal skills (like non attachment )from Dialectical Behavior Therapy be fleshed out in different ways from the book the "Let Them Theory" by Mell Robins. I found the tweaks to the techniques here to be incredibly useful in short-circuiting the emotional responses I feel in the moment during difficult interpersonal interactions.

Maybe it will help you? I don't know. I'm just listing what has helped me.

An assessment of windscribes European performance is helpful because I had no idea.

I'm in Canada (windscribe is Canadian), and find windscribe to be pretty good. So maybe it depends on location.

I have no skin in the Star Wars vs. Star Trek game because I don't care what people think, and I am happy when they find something entertaining.

When I play the game just for fun, I'd say:

Star Trek is better than Star Wars but Andor is better than anything Star Trek has ever done.

This whole episode had so many great skits and quips. They've been on fire!

Oh my god. This is why I voted for him and it made me regret voting for him.

And now he regrets it too? I mean I suppose that's kind of a good thing but I think mentioning it now just opens an old wound and pisses me off.

Even from a narcissistic point of view, getting a fair vote system would have made him be remembered as a notable PM forever. We'd actually have elections we enjoy voting in.

Looks like it will take some time to figure it out, but the developer ljdawson is looking into Lemmy support for sync.

This app is so smooth, and caching posts and comments for offline use while on the plane or in low reception areas is a clutch feature for me.
