Very cool -- I've never heard of that technique but it makes sense, and I can see it working here. I love those more artsy types of edits, like dodging/burning, where you're not just clicking a global slider..

I'm glad you asked! It's not very clear from the pic, but the cables underneath are a bit all over the place:
guitar->QTron (first because then how hard you pick determines how much wah.. rather than coming after something with a buffer/compressor/etc.) ->Phase 90 ->e-lady ->OD-200 (I'm a "dirt before compression" kinda guy, a la Trey Anastasio) ->comp ->superfuzz (which I just use as an always-on boost lately) ->tuner ->El Cap ->DD-500 ->Specular Tempus ->looper -> JC-40 amp
Everything from the El Capistan onwards is stereo. The looper is actually not normally on the board since I really only use it in my bedroom, but the space was there so I put it! And lo and behold I did find myself using it once at a jam at a friend's house recently.
hahaha glad I'm not the only one :) I can't call it this around the house because kids.
My current setup! btw the black one in the upper left is a hand-painted (by my kid) Behringer Super Fuzz.
Oh, sick! I had a D7000 for a good while. I think I looked at the 11-16, but eventually went for a Sigma 12-24 after I got a D800 (my current kit, which I don't use enough lately...). Anyway, great pic. Looks like maybe you did an Orton effect kinda thing on it in post...?
great pic!! What did you shoot it on?
It is. And stop calling me Shirley.
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
The Big Lebowski
such a hard question. Those are two that I've watched a million times and keep getting enjoyment out of, and not just because I've seen them so much, but they're actually well made. I'd definitely put Spirited Away as a contender. LotR, I know, unpopular opinion, but I don't think they are great movies. The books were great!
Yeah, I can relate to that. Lots of little social rules aren't obvious to me. Since getting diagnosed, I'm much easier on myself about those struggles though. Before, it was lots of confusion for reasons I didn't know.
I also relate to "I can't hide myself and I can't not." Getting diagnosed and finding out I've been masking my whole life, is a big "well who am I then?" lol. But it's ok.. we're all wearing masks when it comes down to it. It's just that autists' are a bit more "manufactured" to fit in with social norms. So.... whether you dx/identify as ASD or not, go easy on yourself, and don't overthink what others think of you (because nobody's judging you as much as it feels like it).
I hope that relates to your question a little bit...
I love natto. Which isn't that weird IMO, but people sure seem to think it is.
Even when I lived in Japan for a little bit, people there would be like "a GAIJIN that likes NATTO!?" Sure, it's stinky, but yum.
I love how it transfers from pink/goodvibes/pokemon to CALL-OF-DUTY/GIANT-FUCKING-REDBULL
