… what? You just said Toyota doesn’t have a proper supply chain or market for parts? You do realize Toyota is literally one of the biggest and most mature car manufacturers and has been for years right?

Maybe it’s not perfect and is prone to fraud, but it’s still better than zero efforts to improve energy efficiency and have an extremely wasteful product set from every manufacturer due to no oversight.

Maybe the answer is to try to fix the fraud holes instead of getting rid of it completely. I’d rather have something in place than let corporations dictate anything whom will of course step on any aspect of being efficient or long lasting in order to maximize profits.

Jfc Trump burger is a legit thing? I thought it was photoshopped the last time I saw it. Burn them all to the ground.

As someone who has worked in the it industry doing server work for 20+ years, definitely cannot agree with used drives. Always buy new if you can. Refurb drives are a huge risk whether or not they could have subsequent issues after being repaired. If you value your data, do not buy refurbs.

Edit - also consider most refurb drives are prob only a year warranty vs a probable 5 year on new WDs. To save a couple bucks, totally worth the extra warranty period.

Wouldn’t this leave the door open to jack domestic prices because foreign options are more expensive. Probably the whole goal
