I'd like to have an idea of the history of MP pay in terms of the average salary to understand if this is a new thing, if they have always had side businesses and claimed "favours" later or if there is an actual decline in the status of "civic duty".

Maybe it will get worse in the future, but what resources do immigrants require? They don't need nannies or childcare or schooling...they just work, consume and pay taxes like everyone else. Has this ever been a problem for the US? PS: turns out wasps have an even shorter life expectancy: 12-22 days :p

maybe it needs a little curation, but once you've blocked the instances, communities and users that are personally annoying to you, it's a fun and engaging place with the usual share of human noise. Maybe some people are happy to have reddit choosing what deserves to reach your eyes, I like to do it myself :)

You can't just collect and analyse the data either, you have to write a kickass paper, design an appealing poster and present it like it's the best thing ever and the respective talk...oh yea and then you have to write tons of kickass proposals to get the funding to do more experiments to collect more data and analyse it and... :)

I wish somebody had told me beforehand that a degree of enthusiastic acting was necessary to spin my miserable results into a success like the superstars in the department, though.

Keep it in your hard drive and carry it with you, this was not a hard problem 20 years ago, but we're being conditioned to regression in expectations and functionality. Better than yet another blockchain overkill and works offline.
