Een incompetentie politicus die zegt wat jij wil horen en 'z'n best doet' in jouw ogen, is voor veel van deze stemmers denk ik beter dan een competente politicus die zegt wat jij niet wilt horen en begrijpen. Het gaat denk ik absoluut niet om rationeel en kritisch denken en op basis daarvan een enigszins logische keuze maken voor een politieke partij, maar om jouw 'gevoel' en jouw 'mening' te horen en te zorgen dat andere partijen dat in mindere mate bepalen.

Daarom merk je ook dat veel stemmers van de PVV, Wilders nog steeds vertrouwen, ondanks dat je objectief absoluut kunt stellen dat hij en ook zijn partij"leden" weinig tot niets doen, ook niet met hun zogenoemde rechtse medestanders op gebied van migratie

Mee eens, maar het mag duidelijk zijn dat dit kabinet vanaf moment één al totaal heeft gebroken met enige gewoontes die voorheen als gewenst werden gezien. Helaas is deze regel ongeschreven en sterk afhankelijk van degene die het kabinet voorzit en zijn of haar interpretatie hiervan.

Helaas merk je aan alles dat Schoof hier niets aan zal veranderen, hij heeft te maken met een kabinet dat geen eenheid kent, zichzelf wantrouwt, regelmatig de eigen koers saboteert en wordt voorgezet omdat het alternatief nog minder aantrekkelijk is voor de coalitiepartijen.

Schoof, als één van de zeldzame extra parlementaire personen in dit kabinet heeft alleen politiek kapitaal in de vorm van dreigen met het opstappen, zoals je kon lezen in de Volkskrant. Veel meer politieke macht heeft deze beste man niet, hij heeft geen achterban, geen zetels die hem dekken...

Kortom, een briljant idee voor het bestuur van het land. Ik zou het bestuur van mijn hobby clubje er nog niet aan overlaten.

I agree, but most businesses will probably still stick with whatever Windows version fits their IT environment best. I like running Linux distro's but most companies i would argue just want to offer Windows because (1: People in the company know something about how it works and switching to anything else will be difficult and (2: Windows works pretty well in an AD and Entra ID environment, especially if there is any On-prem Windows or Azure hosted infra involved.

So for individuals i can really see this being a good reason to switch to a popular distro and maybe for specific companies with some knowledge, or if they were to only use SaaS web apps. But most of them, will not change how they operate because of privacy concerns or subscription costs. Windows is not going anywhere, any time soon. But yeah, if you care enough i would recommend running at least a distro in dual boot. Not sure if enough people actually care to make it more common though.

Dit is zeer zorgelijk. Het zou niet mogelijk moeten zijn in een werkende rechtstaat, of in ieder geval niet zonder grote consequenties voor de betrokken organisatie.

Heel cool! Goed om te zien dat er ook vanuit de overheid wordt onderzocht of zij hier baat bij hebben. Het zou enorm helpen met de betrouwbaarheid van de naam als ook zulke instanties eigen servers gaan beheren

I kinda like looking at Lemmy as a sort of Internet Pub on steroids (Activity Pub). Kind of like a busy street with all kinds of pubs, libraries, bookstores etc. But where those places have something to sell like liquor, coffee or books, Lemmy does not really have anything to sell but just offers a place of conversation. Like any pub, each one has its own rules, peoples and culture.

I see a Lemmy admin like a barkeeper of one of the many pubs around. We sit in this one pub with one owner but we meet a lot of people from other pubs around. And if we like, we can walk across the street and visit somewhere else or even move there permanently. We have options, we as users have more power and especially actual alternatives to go to.

Donating is a thing to help the pubs keep existing. Like tipping the waiter. I'm a big fan of OpenCollective and Patreon for how they allow these small groups of people to take back parts of the internet for themselves!

There is no need to commercialize this space, it's largely for conversation. Here there is no need for the waiter tot eastdrop on conversations, to make the pub all smart or to guilt you into a VIP pass tot enter.

I really hope we can find a way to tip the waiters and barkeepers incidentally like we would in a pub. Like a donation, and maybe also a more prominent place like a tip jar for the instance visible in posts or just the website. I think we can make it work, if we really try.

Yeah the big pubs might come knocking, but its up to each of us to decide if we want to visit any of their places.

I'll go first! I've listened to the podcast "The Psychologists are in" with Jules and Lassiter and i recommend it! It's fun to hear about the experiences of the creator, who said it was largely his father who inspired the bond between Shawn and Henry and especially the part where Shawn has to mention how many hats there are in the diner.

On the episode, it was great! Like, you immediatly see the fun bond between Gus and Shawn, it really doesn't feel like an pilot episode. One thing that is interesting is that we don't really see Shawn coming home with a 'random date' much after this. But i'm sure that was a great call. The episode itself really does an impressive task at establishing most characters right from the get-go and well i'm glad to rewatch this show because of it!
