You should also upload it somewhere else so people can have access to it without registering to a shady forum they might not necessarily know or trust.
Draconic_NEO
I saw that one, not a great look for him, almost as if he was posting there simply so the other person couldn't. Probably hoping he could spin it in a way people would see favorably, it did backfire on him though, greatly.
Okay one more instance to add to the list of instances for me to avoid.
PTB, the mods in !news@lemmy.world are really aggressive power-trippers in this current day and age. That's why a hands off approach like what certain servers do where they "choose not to interfere with communities" is not a good approach. Even Reddit has a Moderator CoC. Instance admins can and should hold communities to a certain standard of moderation and ban or reassign moderators which don't or abuse their power.
Yeah it's really gross. They are legitimately a disgusting and evil person.
Absolutely. Here are screenshots of the email notifications I received, as well as some of the disgusting DMs they sent me (I censored it):
Horrible messages and mentions by drag's harassment alt
Context: Original post was asking admins to give out my IP address so drag could hunt me down and kill me.
This is all from the first time.
Here's also one of the DMs they spammed me recently:
More DM harassment
Yes I censored this one as well.
Or creating hateful communities to personally harass and target you. It's already happened to me twice.
I heard the mods on the lemm.ee one were dismissing reports to protect the posts and users who were rightfully reported. So they deserve it, and it was probably the best thing that could've been done, second to banning the community outright of course.
The one on Lemmy.world was probably a very similar story, and if I remember right that community was nothing but trolling and occasional bigotry. As are most conservative communities on the Fediverse.
Shoot him earlier, before he killed all those people.
It doesn't really matter what they are, it's downright petty, and shows a certain level of incompetency to moderate a community properly and fairly. At the end of the day a person like this should not be moderating a community.
This is a Phishing attack, just so we're clear, they haven't broken the encryption. They gain access by tricking you into clicking malicious links or scanning fake QR codes. As long as you stay vigilant you should be fine, make sure to warn other people in your life though who might not be as keen on this though, they can easily be compromised, and if they share conversations with you it can indirectly affect you if they are.
