If you use your machine predominantly for gaming, Nobara is a good option. Built by the same people who made Proton (the tool to get Windows games working well on Linux). Comes with everything you need to get going out of the box. Based on Fedora so lots of community support. Comes with either KDE Plasma or GNOME to give you the desktop environment you prefer.

There's no absolute measure for "pollutedness". How do you compare something filled with plastic waste, something filled with human feces, something contaminated with industrial run off including PFAS?

Some Individual Cops May Actually Be Reasonable And Honest But The Institution Of The Police Is So Corrupted By Vested Interests That There's No Way To Distinguish Between Those Individuals And The Ones Who Would Actively Cause You Harm Plus They're Almost All Racist And Mysoginist Anyway So The Distinction Is Largely Academic

Two things. Firstly, patients are being harmed because hospitals are being forced to cancel planned operations and procedures, some of which people have been waiting years for.

Secondly, they just went on strike last year and won a huge pay rise, significantly ahead of inflation. The argument put forth by the BMA is based on bad data and misleading statistics.

There are significant structural problems within the NHS that need to be addressed, including some that directly affect the earning power of young doctors. None of which will be fixed if they keep going on strike.

Ancient Romans loved it for the same reason people in Asia love it today. It's cheap, delicious and plentiful.

  • Forced collectivisation of an entirely agrarian economy.

  • Industrial policy that encouraged small scale iron smelting in homemade furnaces causing huge environmental damage.

  • Agricultural policy that ordered the extermination of sparrows who then couldn't keep insect populations down causing catastrophic damage to crops.

  • Brutally cracked down on any dissenting voices, including scientists who happened to point out the potential flaws in Maos plan

  • Contrary to OPs post, covering up the mistakes afterward and blaming outside influences and counter-revolutionaries rather than the failure of central policy.
