You had me at watercolor!

The color is amazing as is the shape of the frog. Love it!

Fantastic! The nuance in your subjects skin is delightful. The spark in her eyes makes it feel like she's in the room! Amazing!

Doh! I had no idea. Thank you!

English mother fucker, soy you speak it?

[–] BallShapedMan@lemmy.world 5 points 9 hours ago

I'll share it for sure, nothing fancy. Just stitching them together in a single image to get printed somewhere.

Thank you!

Do they speak English in what?

[–] BallShapedMan@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago

Thank you, I'm trying to be one. Maybe one day before I die.

Look at the big brain on Brad!

Haha thank you! I love that.

I'm going to go to 16 Sammie's and then try a family member or two. With 16 Sammie's I can print a 4*4 grid for my office.

Thank you! 🔥🔥🔥

Hamburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast!

Alright, what did I mess up? I can't see anything. I'm sure I did, help me see it.

Clearly I can, but can I get his expression right? I think this is the closest to the expression in the reference yet. Not quite right but I'm not sure what isn't right about it. I think it's in his lips but I've redone them a few times and am no closer. Feedback?

Also I love love love how his beard turned out. I saw a YouTube saying don't try to paint each individual hair and paint shapes that feel like hair, it was mind blowing to me.

And clearly you can tell which image got the most votes in the other post.

Edit: Also my workflow is getting much better. I spent less time on this than the first several I did with way better results. I'm able to see shapes and pick out colors I just couldn't even see before.

Love this course, love these shots!

Thought I'd ask for a vote on which Nick Fury y'all think I should paint. I think I'm ready to try this iconic character. Vote on as many or few as you'd like, feel free to add your own for others to vote on. I'm planning to start painting Friday morning mountain time.

Twelve paintings in and I still hear his voice in my head. OHHH, you believe in Samuel L. Jackson now, huh, bitch? GOOD, 'CAUSE YOU 'BOUT TO MEET HIM!

I particularly enjoy the scarf. That was my favorite part to paint.

I'm trying to do something a little more stylized. Please provide criticism!

I think the engineering here is really cool. Hopefully someone makes one at least once so I can hear it.

Hang onto your butts! Because I think I still can. The expression isn't quite right yet. It's amazing how the tiniest little bits completely change an entire expression. He looks more worried and less annoyed than he should. But it's totally Samuel L. Jackson!!!

Drew all of these the year Predator 2 came out I think, so 1990 or so.

Hell yes I can! I think this is the closest likeness yet. His expression is really close but not quite right. The eyes though, that's my favorite part. I used a completely different process and it worked much better for me! The whole painting was nearly finished but no eyes, pretty much just closed eyelids. Then I started painting on the eyes and it helped me a ton.
