I can only stand spending so much time on a particular thing. Two examples:

I have to make about 20 cement blocks. It has taken more than a year. Repeated tasks are just the worst.

I set up a home server, got basic functionality and quit because I got stuck trying to figure out how traefik works with docker. Finally went back to it after about a year. Managed to get past that hurdle, even if I can't saying figured out how traefik works. Its working now and that's whatmatrers to me.

I'm not the angry autist that started the argument. He is indeed an angry autist. Doesnt change that he has at least one valid point. He is a dick though.

That said, I agree with the initial sentiment he expressed, and including myself in it. The fact is there is a perception that Linux is complicated, and we aren't helping ourselves, since we dont explain shit.

Linux does not solve OPs problem. Telling them to use Linux does not help them at all because its so far from how to actually get what they want and introduces so many new problems that its laughable.

The fact that using Linux allows them to find workarounds to the specific problems is not a solution in and of itself, and holy shit are there still usability problems with Linux if you start doing anything slightly complicated, which it seems like OP is.

Linux people be like:

  1. Draw a circle.
  2. Draw the rest of the owl

The blind egotism and arrogance of Linux users really is quite twatish. You guys are just insufferable. Being right doesnt make you less insufferable.

In all seriousness, its gonna depend. If it can survive minimal ventilation, throw a shoebox with some holes at it. You probably dont want it getting touched, but so long as its not, you're prolly fine.

For the moment. You might say we are.losing the battle. Wouldn't come close to saying we are losing the war though.

Nazis aren't interested in what communists have to say. A communist, for the record, is anyone a Nazi disagrees with. The only acceptable place for a communist, according to a nazi, is in the ground. If you want to let Nazis come for you, I guess that's fine for you. When Nazis co.e for your loved ones and you Stans there like a fucking coward and let them take them because "much precious nonviolence" I guess that's your call.

Libertarian ideology at work. "Fuck you, I have money" or "I dont want poor gay or black people dying in the streets cause they are black or gay. I want them dying in the streets cause they're poor."

That'd work, but Sagan opted for portable fax.
