Yes, this is brown rice!

This particular mix is 1 rice cooker cup of lentils and 2 of rice. Same amount of water as if you were only cooking rice.

I should try sprouted lentils, they look so cool ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I guess I have a goal for pottery now...

Ever since I learned you can cook lentils and rice together in the rice cooker I've been unstoppable.

Since everyone always assumes it's totally unseasoned for some reason, I used soy sauce and a commercially prepared tomato chilli sauce. Plus pickled ginger because I'm an anarchist.

Glad you are taking care of yourself, friend.

I look forward to posting my slop on the pixelfed ๐Ÿ’–

Audiobooks are great! My partner gets audiobooks from the library and really enjoys listening while doing chores.

Last week I read a volume of a report related to the design of a new wastewater treatment plant. The report was 30 years old, so it's not new, but one of my favorite things to do is untangle the history of industrial sites and map how they have changed over time.

It's so interesting to map how laws changed over time because a lot of these rules exist only in site specific documents (there was no real blanket minimum treatment level until 2015-ish). I info dumped in the Vegan Home Cooks discord about sewers and the topic steered towards why we "allow" microplastics to enter the water. This stuff is so fascinating albeit depressing as hell that we pollute so much.

Made with love ๐Ÿ˜˜

Rice and lentils in the rice cooker (at the same damn time) and microwave veg.

Super simple stuff.

Hell yeah

Pastel green cake with rough edges. The words animals are not ingredients are in the top, shaped out if white icing.

Some would say I flew too close to the sun, but I have killed god and am no longer bound by such rudimentary constructs like space.

P.S. they were tasty :3

For all my comrades who strugg to funcc: one serving of each thing into a jar, pour hot water on it, let it cool down a bit so it doesn't become a bomb (due to steam), put a decent lid on it, and carry it around with you to drink when you remember that your bodily prison requires nourishment!

Mine has quick oats, chia seeds, hemp hearts and dates.

If it ain't anti-speciest it ain't veganism ๐Ÿ’–
