+0.8 from VER is insane. If he wasnโt around this would be a massively competitive season, Perez in the RB is about equal with everyone else. Max just has something else

It's hard to tell how good max is verses how bad Sergio is.
Sergio definitely isn't a bad driver, he wouldn't be in a Red Bull if he wasn't, the last couple of races obviously did go wrong though. I think P3 like now is where I'd expect him normally, Verstappen is just on another level
Yeah, I think with the level of consistency Max has shown it is safe to say he really is on another level
Thereโs a pretty good argument to be made that Perez is underperforming, but yeah, itโs near impossible to tell when max is his teammate
Would have made for an interesting Sunday race had Max gotten knocked out in Q2. Would have been a P16 start for him.
Verstappen prior to that last lap: "Hold my red bull" and puts in a banger of a lap. The guy is surreal.

This is the race qualifier
The sprint one is tomorrow
I thought the sprint was the qualifier for the race. I feel stupid.
Don't worry about it, they're constantly changing everything all the time, it's hard to keep up.
It used to be like that, but now championship points are awarded. I think.
Championship points were always awarded.
Last year they had qualifying for the sprint race and the sprint position determined your grid position for the full race.
This year they have qualifying for the full race, then qualifying for the sprint race and your position in the sprint race has no bearing on the full race.
Itโs like a mini race weekend in the middle of the actual race weekend.
