You can ask questions about the Lemmy.nz instance here.
This community also serves as our Meta community, with posts about updates to the Lemmy software on Lemmy.nz or other things relevant to Lemmy.nz users and not relevant to other instances.

Thanks! The more I look into these the more I think we should not push ahead just yet. I won't do the update tonight, we will wait until those instances have their issues solved.
Yeah I think we should wait for the next release, and see how it goes.
From what I read on other instances, they scheduled to restart Lemmy and DB every few hours as a temporary solution.
Looks like some really nice changes for the user as well as the backend
I'm most excited that looking at a post then hitting the back button won't now take you back to the first page 😆
Two factor authentication that doesn't lock you out of your account is a close second.
But yes, all the big stuff is exciting too.
As a lemmy.ca user already on 0.19, the Scaled sort algo is a game changer for finding content from the smaller, quieter communities you've subscribed to.
I guess it will be my push to start subscribing to things instead of just browsing Local and All.
Just got a "connection timed out host" server error from about 1:45 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. NZDT Jan. 14 (i.e., just got back online).
Was this also a planned outage?
No, not a planned outage. Our host (the guys behind fediservices.nz) is having issues. It affects us as well as mastodon.nz, pixelfed.nz, etc. They are currently investigating.
Edit: There's a little info in the matrix chat if you're in there.
Got it, thanks!
Should all be resolved now, hopefully!
Thanks; have been online for a while now, so OK here!
