I'm calling it now, all devil fruits are part of Nika. Luffy just got the one that's closest, but whatever Bonny did is just as much "Nika".

What part of Jacket Jacket fruit is Nika ๐ค
I think Bonney's fruit is based on her imagination/dream, which alter her "future".
Like the Jacket Jacket fruit isn't one of the most cartoonish fruits already.
I don't disagree with that take. It's just that her transformation is way to accurate to what Luffy does based on her limited knowledge. Kind of like her fruit 'knows' what Nika is.
But it's Kuma that told her that Nika is rubbery and can do all sort of thing, she just went with it.
I like this idea. It's better than fatalism.
Wait, why did Bonney get better if they giving her a placebo?
The operation takes about a year to fully recover, she didn't neeed the placebo at all
